Ipod nano or video?

ok so I am really stumped here. What should I get an ipod nano or video?

I have had a nano for almost a year and LOVED it. Well it broke. Costco is giving me full store credit.

I can either get a 8gig nano, or a 30gig video.

I pretty much use my nano for 2-3 hours a day in the car and when I work out. I dont see the video being a big deal right now, HOWEVER I may want it later and the extra storage never hurts...

have any of you found the ipod videos to be too large? is the non-flash memory hard drive less reliable?'

your thoughts?

I have an original 4GB nano and a 30GB video.

90% of the time I use the video. However when I am listening while cycling, skiing or generally moving about I will use the nano.

The great thing about the nano is it uses flash memory so isnot affected by the jolting of working out. The video, although shock resistant to a degree will eventually suffer premature failure of the HD if it's moved about too much.

My son and I both have ipod videos, my daughter has a nano. Like you I use mine in the car a lot (but with a FM adapter) and on planes and in hotels (for movies) while traveling. At times I will use it while riding bike or walking, but I personally find it a little to bulky to carry "all" the time. My son and daughter on the other hand both carry theirs everywhere. If you have a friend that has a video ipod maybe you could use it durnig a work out and see if it's to large to be comfortable.
