Does anyone know how to conver video files so that your ipod will play them, also i have converted some through iTunes but they have lost their audio, why is this?

The iTunes video interface could use some work.
Anyhow, I convert video files for my iPod 5G (video) exactly as CNET says to:

It works very well. You can either pay $30 for QuickTime Pro to convert to .mov, or $30 for AVS Video Converter, to convert from almost anything to almost anything.
