i got my ipod mini in march i think, and recently, it has been dying on me saying there is no battery power even though it's been fully charged over night, which took a long time. after a while of keep on trying to make it play, it will play for about an hour, and then die again.

will replacing the battery fix this problem?

Does he have to pay even if it's under warranty? That sucks.

Should've gotten one of those RCA or Sony players that take 1 AAA battery.

the "warranty" as they call it consists of a 90-day service period as a "courtesy", and 1 year's time where you can make 1, ONE, tech support phone call

Is that only for new Ipod minis?

I have the 15gb 3rd gen and I had some major problems with it (although not with the battery) and I was able to call as many times as I wanted and I even got my unit replaced a couple times. All under warranty.

cool, i'm on the phone with them now, i think i was wrong about their warranty, it's 90 days for phone support, and 1 year for hardware

i decided i'll just go for the extended warranty service since it was only $47 for me, i was going to pay $31 for a new battery from J&R shipped, but thought what the hell, i'd rather spend the extra $16 for an additional year of support and free shipping.

thanks for the info, but i'm not sure if i'm eligble for this lawsuit since it says purchased on or before may 2004 🙁
