Is it possible to extract music FROM your ipod back onto your computer? I have music in the computer at home that I've loaded onto my ipod and i was wondering if i can get the music out and onto my computer at school.

are there any programs that allows this? or can i just load the music onto the ipod as mass storage and offload it onto my computer at school
 
You're going to need 3rd party software for that. Hooking up your iPod to another computer that uses iTunes will delete what's on your iPod when you sync it, and with the auto-sync option selected.

and if you have auto sync on, then hold control and shift when you connect your ipod till when it shows up in your itunes. Then it wont auto fill
 
you can enable view hidden folders in your control panel. Then plug Ipod into Comp. Open up Ipod and then Control>Music>Choose your songs. Only downside is that titles are Combination of Letters unrelated to Title
