Ipod Help

I've had no problems with this software until this morning. Itunes would couldnt communicate with the ipod mini and asked me to reinstall itunes software. i downloaded the latest version from apple and upon removing the previous version i tried to install the new one. It wont let me because of a registry issue i guess this is what i says....

Error 1402 Could not open key
hkey local machine software microsoft windows current version run
verify that you have access to the key... blah blah contact administrator, pray to God, put you weiner in a meat grinder... i cant figure out what to do.... please help.. thanks in advance...

If any of these are your errors or close to it:

Error 1406. Could not write value to key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\.cdda\OpenWithList\iTunes.exe Verify that you have suffient access to that key, or contact your support personnel

Error 1402 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\.cdda\OpenWithProgids. Verify that you have suffient access to that key, or contact your support personnel

Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation

Try this:

Go to Start -> Run -> regedit

From there, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\.cdda

Right click on OpenWithList and go to permissions. From there, select the Add button. Then click advanced. Click "Find Now".

This should bring up a list of users. Select "everyone" and hit OK. Then click on Ok on the next screen.

On the permissions for the OpenWithList box now on top, select the "allow" checkbox in the "full control" row and hit OK.

Do the EXACT same thing with the OpenWithProgids folder, then close regedit and try to install it again.

It works perfectly. I had the same problem.
