well, i've was a happy owner of the 3g ipod and currently the ipod mini. however, after a 90 min session at the gym, my mini died. the mini was sitting/charging on my dock all day begore i took it off, so i know it was on a full charge. to add insult to injury, the mini is only 6 months old. i supposed i should be happy that the battery died now and not after my warranty is over, but at this pace i'll have to get the battery changed three times before the warranty is over.

fvcking great.

Yeah, I bought my GF a 20GB Ipod... I just know it will break... the battery life sucks so much in that thing.

it's like 8 hours to charge, 8 hours to die.... awesome!

first of all ... workouts shouldn't consist of 90 minutes of working out. you are doing too much ... its your fault it ran out 😛

OP: You say it "died" - what happens specifically when you try to use it? If it seems to be working but has no sound it could be the headphone jack's connection to the pcb, which is notoriously weak in ipod mini's. Most times it just causes crackling, but it's possible it came completely undone in your case. If this is what happened, I assume no liability, but in your place I'd probably open 'er up and bust out my soldering iron.

3G 15gb that gets an 75~ minutes play time tops.

Just out of warranty by about a month too, and I really don't feel like paying $100 to get the battery replaced.

Think I could get more than that for it in FST? The front's a bit scratched up~

THis is why I got the 4 year PSP from bestbuy with my new 40GB ipod. For only $40 extra it was a no-brainer.

i've had my 3g 20gig ipod for 6 months and the battery life/recharge time is still around 95% from when I first got it.
