iPod G5 question

since ill be using a hd mp3 player as primary source for music in my car, im straying away from creative labs players (which i currently have) and looking at an ipod.

can someone with it tell me whether the new one has line-level outputs and how i could use it? i know that for the previous generation, one can get it on the supplied base-station/dock...

ive heard the new one does not come with a dock -- true?

if i want to use it in a car, i do not want to lug a dock around.. .is there a portable plug that goes into the ipod and terminates into a 3.5mm or RCA line-level signals?

just get a standard RCA wire and plug it into the headphone jack

I'd get one that plugs into the dock connector, as it's a more snug fit and is easier to handle in the car.

i dont like using amplified out... amplified again at the head-unit level... bad sound quality, ya know 😀

or, if you want to go the DIY method, snag a belkin cable off ebay and do this mod. Works rather nicely.
