Here are the official details

Basically Apple has a promotion for it's Education store, where if you purchase an iBook/Powerbook and an iPod you get a $200 rebate.

The 15GB iPod is $269, so with the rebate it's just $69

Pretty good deal if you're looking to buy an iBook/PowerBook already.

great deal rincewind1013 but those terms and conditions are confusing and looks like they can deny just about any rebate.

this goes out to anyone getting this offer : please post results of your apple rebate, thanks.

How are those terms & conditions confusing? For crying out loud, they've even taken into account the details of how to cut out the UPC!

i don't think these rebate rules are that demanding
it's a solid deal if you're looking at buying an apple anyway

I've been wanting to get a new PowerBook. Guess I'll wait til Sept. to see what's new (if anything) before getting one. Rumor has it that Apple will be releasing a new iPod in Aug/Sept. Hoping they'll release new PowerBooks too since my school's student store seems to be trying to clearance them out right now.
