iPod etching/engraving

My son's birthday is coming up and I want to get him a nano but I want to get the back engraved with the USMC insignia on the back as he's going to basic training in July and loves all things marines. While I can't account for his taste, I thought it would be a nice personalization. Any ideas where I can get this done professionally?

If its a new apple ordered from apple.com they do offer engraving but I think its limited to text only.
I'd say do it yourself with a knife, much more personal and if he doesn't like it stab him with the same knife and ebay the ipod for a dollar.

I going to thread jack here, Kwaipie I believe it would be better to give that Nano to your son after he is finished with recruit training. The title Marine is earned. Before going to where I trained I had only one piece of gear with the emblem on it, a plastic cup my recruiter gave me. What if your son doesn't make it through? What is he going to do with an ipod with the emblem on it? Again I am not trying to discourage you or your son. Just letting you know the title Marine is earned. I hope the best for your son. BTW is your son going to PI or SD?

I had my name and phone number engraved on mine.

We just bought another Nano for my wife and I had her name-Realtor and her phone number engraved on it. It's pink, of course. 😉
