If so, gone are the days of the charger brick and/or Firewire ports on a Windows PC.

Would like to hear from anyone who has had experience using this or something similar.

I believe only the NEW latest released ipods support charging by USB. Check it out at apple.com

The iPod comes with the cables to charge it via Firewire or USB 2.0, you only need the charging brick when you aren't near a 'puter.

yea pretty much, but this way u get it without having to buy a beamer😉
