Ipod charging questions

My new Ipod doesn't seem to charge. Its the 10 gig model from Amazon... no indiation of charging when plugged in.

Its been plugged into the wall outlet for 2 hours now and still the battery meter is at one bar only.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

that happened to me also, i forgot what i did - but i ended up fixing it. i think there's a hard reset. maybe press and hold the center button while toggling the lock switch. i'm not sure, just check out the manual.

If it's plugged to the pc, i've found it won't charge. Try shutting down the pc or removing the plug. Then docking it.
 
ok i got it to charge through my firewire port on my PC (my ipod has no dock 🙁 ) but yeah I guess its the adapter that is dead
