iPod backlight life?

I keep the backlight on while it is in my car, so about 20-25 hours/week.

Maybe I can just swap in a new one when my battery dies :roll:
 
The old 1G backlights just plain sucked. After a while they developed the darker lines down the backlight. I'm just glad my iPod mini and my 3G iPod never had that problem. As far as going out, I think they should last around 100,000 hours, like all other LEDs. I don't really know though... 😉
