Iphone with no voice plan?

Interesting, I'm actually tempted to buy a 3GS with no contract AND keep my tMobile phone with a voice plan (at least for a while)

I'd be skeptical that ATT's data service is reliable enough to be able to use VOIP all the time.

It's really hard to get than <$10/month data plan nowadays - not impossible, but you need play CSR roulette to pull it off. Or so I've heard from co-workers.

And even so, you can't use VOIP on T-Mobile EDGE. I've tried several times. The latency is way too high. Calls often don't even go through - but those that do sound really garbled.
