This is my first post so please forgive me if this has already been solved – and please go easy on me, I was recommended to this site and I’m not super tech savvy…

I have an iPhone 5 and for the last month or so, I’m seeing images from the web show up as pixilated and grainy. It started happening when I look at sites through Safari, and when I look at blog sites and some web sites. Now it is happening when I do image searches via either Google or Bing.

This does NOT happen on Facebook or with pictures that I take – those images are clear as always.

I’m on Sprint – and no one at the Sprint store or their phone customer service could help. I also called Apple Tech support and even visited their Genius Bar in the store. Apple said it was Sprint, and Sprint said it is the hardware.

PLEASE help me anyone!

Thanks so much for your time.

Can you post a picture? It sounds like a (developing) defect.

Sounds more like his carrier is compressing images to save bandwidth.

I've not had it happen to me in years. IIRC I used to turn off the proxy server in the APN settings on my phone to stop it.
