iphone vibration when checking mail

I recently went from firmware 3.0 to 3.1.3 and while most everything stayed the same, there is something that bothers me.

When checking my mail, the phone now vibrates when its done whether I get a new email or not. Previously, it only vibrated when I got a new mail message. I want to revert back to just vibrating when a new message comes in. Is there a way to do this?

I've checked my iphone and can't see any on/off switches for it. My phone doesn't do what you're describing so here are my mail settings if it's any help -

It should only vibrate when you get a new message.

perhaps you're getting a new message, but its being sorted into a folder other than your inbox?

yeah i thought i am the only person with this issue. i still have this problem ever since and it is annoying my friends think i am slow to check my email. i never check my email until it vibrates when the new messages come in but i have to check email at all time no matter what.
