iPhone to Receiver problem

When i connect my iPhone 3gs to the pioneer Receiver vsx 819, i cannot Play Song . It recognise the iPhone But it doesnt Play Song and Remote doesnt Control it.
What is the Problem? Should i setup somerhing in the iPhone ?
