why not call the stores? ATOT is not omnipresent, we don't know if your local stores are out of stock.

Something tells me that's not going to be a problem now that you can't leave the store without activating them without paying out the nose for the phone.

There's one thread on the Howard Forums where a dude asked something about LA, but no one had answered him when I read it a few hours ago.
Most of the other cities report that the AT&T stores were sold out until tomorrow. I saw no one saying that Apple Stores were sold out, but there are a lot fewer Apple Stores... and I'm thinking Apple wouldn't be so dumb as to not stock their stores with a buttload of these phones. It'd be a PR nightmare... kind of like this activation problem thing.
Looks like the new Apple-PC commercial has written itself!

Took a ride by the Manhattan Beach mall (there's an Apple Store inside) at about 6PM.
There was a line at least 100 meters long outisde the mall; I'd say at least 200 people being herded by Apple-badged teen-aged workers. That mall is a little fancy, and I can see them not wanting to have thee line of people inside disrupting access to the other stores, so I assume that the line that I saw is the majority.
It was enough people that I didn't even bother to stop.

I am going to hit the stores in the morning as I had stuff do to and didn't feel like ditchign work and canceling my plans.
No way in hell I am taking it to the bad part of NW D.C. tomorrow night if I actually get it...

weird....worked the instant I typed it into safari...certain compatibility bugs with sites and FF3 are getting annoying. (not FF's fault in the least)
