Iphone Mailbox folders

Ok my google fu is failing me

Had a customer ask me about this, and I was sure it can be done, then I go thinking about it and realized hey i thought it would do that already

What I want is a way to show new messages on the iphone either the inbox of the account or the All inboxes.

For example if i have my inbox and under that a folder call work, and i have the rule setup so any email that comes in will go to my work folder, instead of my inbox.

Now I hear the ping that a new message came in but it does not show up in the phone in the inbox. or show that there is a new message.

Now for mail settings.
1) this is on exchange with active sync.
2) Under Settings -> mail contacts calendar -> the folder is selected to have the items pushed to it

Now I know that I can click on Mail -> all mailboxes -> account -> and scroll and look for the folder, click on the folder there. But that is annoying and, for me especially I have 3 accounts on my phone and is really annoying going in to check each one.

But I was sure there was a way so that when a new message comes in shows up in the list like ones that would come into the inbox. And to be honest, I was sure that it had worked before, I had setup my Hotmail account on there and has a single folder pushed and it showed up as a new message in the list(think on ios4, cant remember if it was on my 3g or my current one 4)

Bumping this to see if anyone has access to the IOS 6 beta could look

I just went into my mail account and put a check mark next to another folder in the "folders to push" section and dropped a message into that folder in outlook on my desktop and I did get a notification appear in the notifications area. It does not change get counted in the number of unread messages for that mailbox however.

Hope that helps.

DnetMHZ thanks for look into that, it looks like it will help, at least it can tell us if there is a message in which account. will double check again once ios6 is released
