Recently acquired a 3gs with 4.3.5

I've JB a few iphones but it's been a while. Should I resort back to an older firmware then JB or is there a decent JB out there for 4.3.5 now? From what I understand redsnow is the best alternative, any one else care to comment the easiest path to JB the current version I have or should I look into downgrading then JB'ing?

You can't revert back firmware any more unless you had previously jailbroken it with the version you want to go back to. The firmware upgrades are now signed by Apple and Apple only signs the current version. So if you get a new phone and want to go backwards... you can't. In fact, if you want to go forwards but not to the newest... same problem. So if you are on 4.3.3 and want to go to 4.3.5 right now, you can't... because 5.0 is the current version and you won't get the signed key for 4.3.5 now.

For 4.3.5, I don't think there is an untethered jailbreak. And now, with 5.0 out, I don't think there ever will be.

depending on baseband, 3GS can redsn0w, unlock and untether 5.0. I plan on doing it soon.
