iPhone Headphone Jack Malfunction

My iPhone's headphone jack seems to be damaged. The audio output is echo-filled and weak. The phone is under 1 year old and I have the apple care. Will apple or AT&T give me a replacement instore or do I need to send my phone away (bad option).
