I'll be sure to be inline for one as well. My contract with Cingular is ending soon so hopefully I can snatch one up with their lower price renewal deal they do and have my iPhone.

I will also be standing in line. Will drop TMobile (or any carrier for that matter - I'm happy with TMobile) in a heartbeat.

Cisco will sink the name "iPhone"PCMag article

The phone will have crummy standby times with that big screen and bluetooth/WiFi. I guess we will have to wait until June to really know. Five months in the tech gadget business can seem like an eternity.

Only cost to me was the Activation Fee ... as to the I-Phone ... I hope they sell a lot of them ... I have

Yep! iPod has landed . . . in court (Along with Steve Jobs' shady stock options.) :)

wrong. in fact, several different companies use the term iPhone for different products. cisco's product is only a skype phone. apple's doesn't do VOIP so they can get away with it. as for the lag, several people (reporters) have handled and played with one and they said that there is no lag.

i know i'm saving up for one although it will be years 'till it gets here.

I'm still having a hard time figuring out what the big deal is... touchscreen isn't a new thing, it's basically a smartphone with an apple logo on it. It doesn't look like it does anything we haven't seen before, except now it's apple and a touch screen. I guess it'll be the best sounding mp3 player/phone out there but for $600 you could get a nice phone and a nicer mp3 player.

Man, i must be one of the handful of people that just aren't that impressed by it. It looks like an Ipaq to me (the 1910-1940 models), except with a phone built in. However, you can't install 3rd party apps, and it doesn't have true 3G bandwidth technology. Personally, i think i'll stick with a blackberry pearl or even HP HW6950 for now. At least until the next gen of 'smartphones' comes out. I have no doubt that voice recognition will eventually be incorporated into these devices, so that we can actually dictate emails and msgs (i can seriously dictate in Vista FASTER *AND* more ACCURATE than i can type).
