Iphone Firmware 3.0

any word one when the new iphone firmware 3.0 is coming out?

i'm still using 2.2.1, i think this is the most up to date FW so far.

2.2.1 is the most up to date. Nobody knows the official release date for 3.0, I'd imagine it would come out within a few days of iPhone hardware revision 3.0, so around mid-July.

Might not work. A lot of people get errors when they do that. Not only will it not activate because itunes will ask you for a developer account once updated, but it won't let you downgrade either. There is a workaround to downgrage but you'll need to download quickpwn.

even if you had 3.0 you won't be able to do that yet ... it needs to be enabled on your plan.

I assumed that they would enable it for users testing 3.0.

Running 3.0 beta 3 here. Beta 3 is getting closer to being usable for on a phone, the first 2 betas I was rebooting my phone a few times a day. Copy/paste is really the only added feature to the phone that I can say I use on a regular basis. The real improvements lie within the SDK, more so that features added to the phone itself.
