iPhone displays the wrong number of podcasts

My iPhone is displaying the wrong number of podcasts. No matter how many unlistened podcasts I have left for each show, the number does not change. For example on one podcast, I have 19 listened and 3 unlistened, yet it says I have 12 unlistened. If I listen to another this won't change. If I add more, this won't change.

Any suggestions?

If you look at your podcast that you have listened to, does it show any time left?

You could delete them as you finish them. Slide your finger left to right over the podcast and then click delete.

I've deleted all but 3 episodes and it still says 12 left.

I don't know then. I just tried this on my iPhone 3GS on 3.1.1 (no jailbreak) and it worked fine. If I have 5 podcasts, and then I delete one, it says there's only 4. If I listen to one and I finish it all the way, it says there's one less.

Its surely some kind of bug. I've updated my iPhone's OS twice and since the problem started and the problem still persists. I'm gonna try clearing out all my podcasts and then just reformat the iPhone if I have to.

I already downloaded it. No changes. That was the 2nd upgrade I've made since the problems started.
