My work just bought me an AT&T 16gb iPhone. I just went through porting my personal cell phone to this iPhone. Now I need to move the contacts from my old phone to the iPhone. The old phone was an AT&T BlackJack II.

Now, a lot of these contacts are PERSONAL contacts. Is there a way I can put them on the iPhone without it syncing with my Exchange Server/Outlook at work?

Are your contacts stored on your sim card? If so, you can go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Import SIM Contacts to get them moved over to the new iPhone.

Do you have Outlook on your personal Windows based pc? If so, it's easy to transfer contacts from the Blackjack 2. If you have XP, then download ActiveSync, and it will sync your contacts with Outlook. If you have Vista, then use Windows Mobile Device Center.

Once you have them in Outlook, you will sync them to the iPhone with iTunes.
