iPhone + BT keyboard for taking notes?

I've been really craving an iPad lately. I was thinking: Could i use my iPhone 4S + BT keyboard for taking notes in a few of my classes. I'm a bit dyslexic so I find it very difficult for me to write so I normally carry my 13 inch MBP to class. But it takes up too much desk space and also I don't like carrying it around campus :\

Anyone try this before? I might take my iphone dock + apple BT keyboard to class tomorrow.
