iPhone 7 plus - Not sure if its 'touch disease'

My kids iphone recently develop this issue where the whole left side of the screen about 1/2 inch does not accept touch inputs.. i tested with a basic screen app, that shows where you touch. Drag and touch any point on the left 1/2 inch does not register.

It doesn't happen all the time but I assume if out for "apple" repair, its one of those multi touch charges.

It does not have the line like the 6 gets on top. 90% of time its fine.. just curious
