Are we talking about the same China that ruled against BMW in the X5 clone suit?

What so now BMW has a patent on a SUV with 4 wheels!? Everything they did was obvious and was invented by someone else prior to the design of the X5. They deserve nothing from this. I hope the clone car company counter-sues BMW and it gets pulled from showrooms everywhere. BMW needs a taste of its own medicine.

Disagree, that car, when viewed from all angles is remarkably like the BMW. BMW should have won that suit. It's very similar to what Apple's arguments are, that it's not just one or two or even three elements, it's a combination of all the elements BMW used and how they were used. BMW has a very valid argument that their trade dress (or whatever it is called in China) was violated.

I am assuming cheezy is being sarcastic. I think I saw this in an episode of Top Gear. Kinda retarded, and if they didn't say it was a knockoff, you would think you were looking at real X5.
