I'm issued an iPhone for work. I rarely use it for personal use/play, if I do its web browsing or YouTube while my android is charging.

So I never bothered to upgrade it to iOS 7 after hearing about the performance and miscellaneous problems. Now that iOS 7.1 is out, it seems to be getting good reviews and praises its performance on iPhone 4/4s.

Is the iOS 7 worth the upgrade on this device, or is iOS 6.1.3 still it's sweet spot.

I heard iOS7.1 was decent, but I dunno how it would run on dated hardware. Other than that, no idea.

I can't think of any good reason to be running a 4s on anything less than 7.1 at this point. Especially since iOS 6.x doesn't get security updates on the 4s.

I would go with 7.1. It has improved performance on the 4/4s models and there's some new features most will appreciate.

I have installed it on a family member's iPhone 4. It does seem like some of the lags are less, although I tested it extensively.
