iPhone 4S iOS 5.1.1 issue with contact photos

I am having the strangest issue with my phone. A couple weeks ago I noticed that some of my contact photos were mixed up. A photo of my mom was being displayed for one of my friends, etc.

I went on iCloud.com and into my contacts and all the pictures were being displayed correctly for each contact. I un-synced my contacts from the phone and deleted them. I then went ahead and synched again from the cloud but they are still mixed up.

I thought that maybe there was an issue with facebook syncing the contacts but there is no toggle switch to do so from what I am aware on iOS 5.1.1 there is a toggle in settings>facebook on iOS 6+
 
It's been a while since I used iOS 5, but I think there was a setting in the Facebook app to sync the contacts.

yeah i cant seem to find any. I googled it and it said there was something under the friends list but I dont get any options for syncing.

In the settings tab there is just sliders to turn on sounds for chat.

I do think this is a facebook issue though. I deleted the app and all of my contacts are showing the correct photos.
 
it happens on my i5 ios 6.1.4 also... it should be google issue.. I have a google account that just syncs contact to my phone, I have 0 contact in the phone itself..

So I can see in google account, the pics are all messed up, my coworker appears in most of my friends. I gone and deleted all the pics but they come back. And the pics are google + contact photos. Not photos I taken and added myself.

I don't have google+ nor am I running iOS 6.1.4

Facebook has been uninstalled from my phone for about a hour and I've had no issues. So I am guessing that the issue lies with FB. I'm going to re-install FB in a little bit to see if it happens again.
