iPhone 4 Home button stuck unclickable help! :(

Basically I need to press my home button really really hard to make it to work, but sometimes I press it normally and it works. So basically, my home button is f*ked up :twisted:

Does anyone know any home remedies that could fix my home button?

Try putting a couple drops of isopropyl alcohol around the home button and rubbing the button around to work the alcohol under it. I've fixed unresponsive home buttons like this. Might work for you.

I would also recommend jailbreaking and installing Zephyr from cydia.

It allows you to close apps up swipping up from the bottom of the screen like in webos. So you can pretty much avoid using the home button. It is 10x better than using the home button.

Although, I think this is more annoying.


Definitely check out zephyr if you are jailbroken or can jailbreak. If you do install zephyr I would disable the swipe from left or right functionality, I found it annoying.

An iPhone 4 is probably well out of warranty by now. Mine is.

If you live near an Apple store and know how to be polite to the staff it might be worth a try. Not to get it replaced but they might take a look for you.
