A friend of mine received texts from his boss through out the day today, and someone else responded to them. His boss received them, they all show up in the conversation on his phone and his boss's phone, the phone was in his pocket the whole day. They were legitimate respinses also, not something a 'virus' could produce. No doubt, someone else was in the mix.
So my question is this:
WTF?
Thanks

Does he have multiple idevices that he's signed in to and something else was receiving iMessages?

Is it a group text on the Boss' phone and he doesn't realize where the response is coming from?

Is he jail broken and running a third party messaging app like bitesms that someone possibly set up to auto forward?

Nope one iPhone. Nope responses show on my friends phone FROM him to his boss, exactly as if he typed them. Nope all stock, all the time, stock messaging app.

The only thing that makes me think 'network issue' is that the person responding seems confused as well. Oh well, if this becomes a huge apple issue, it pleases me to be the first reporter.

I would still lean towards the idea that he used a computer to sync his phone that wasn't his own and they are getting his imessages.

Yeah I'm leaning towards group message or iMessage on a different computer.

Almost 99% sure some random hacker wouldn't bother to respond to someone's text messages.
