iPhone 3GS power button is driving me crazy

So my wife was due for a phone upgrade and she wanted an iPhone, so I told her she could have my 3G, and I would take her 3GS from her upgrade.

All is well except the power button. It seems like it is sunk down into the phone further, and it doesn't have that "click" feel to it when you press down on it. You have no feedback as to whether you actually successfully pressed the button.

Not only that, but it is harder to press it down and my finger just slips off it half the time.

Is my 3GS defective? Has anyone else noticed a slight difference in the power button from the 3G to the 3GS?

do you mean the home button, or the sleep/wake button (top right corner)? Both buttons are slightly more squishy compared to my iPhone 2G, however they still have noticeable tactile clicks.

I have owned all 3 versions and cant say the power button has been different. I noticed a difference in the home button however.

Can't say cuz 3G and 3GS home button feel the same to me. Maybe your fingers are not working right?
