iPhone 3GS Bluetooth Music Streaming Question

I did a little research and came upon some conflicting info. So the 3GS supports the BT standard A2DP right?

From what I understand, that allows you to stream music to stereo bluetooth headphones. However, I just want to buy a regular BT headset that is common nowadays so I can use handsfree calling. At the same time, I want to use that to listen to music at work. I sometimes work in a biohazard lab and they ban cell phones and mp3 players since they can get contaminated. So the BT headsets might be ok since I won't be fussing with wires and controls, etc., and it's stealthy. Will the 3GS be able to stream music to these BT headsets?

I went to the AT&T store and the customer reps told me I can't, that I can only stream to the stereo headphones that it's designed for.

How about you follow the rules at work so we don't have some 28 Days later shit jump off just so you can listen to Lady Gaga while you're labeling test tubes?

I don't have a BT headset to test to see if this still works with 3.0.

I have a Nokia E51 and use my regular non-stereo regular BT headset to listen to music I have on my SD card all the time. Maybe the iPhone is different.

The cool part is you know better than they do. Good going!
