Iphone 3G - Can I make it into a wireless hotspot?

I currently have a Nokia N81. I use a program to make it into a wireless hotspot so I can connect it to my laptop and surf the net. Problem is the N81 is not intended for the U.S market so it is EDGE speeds.

It would be nice to have something I can use to get 60KB/s on average. Wondering if the Iphone 3G had such a software.

Its getting pulled because tethering is against your iphone TOS in your contract.

There is a client for WM called wmwifirouter that does the same for WM phones. It works great on a tilt.
