Quick question... is the original battery in an iPhone 3g supposed to be puffy like a pillow?

I'm guessing that would be a no. When I get a battery that does that, it's toast.

Yeah, after looking at new batteries, I concur. I removed the battery from this iphone and put it back together somewhat (it's a dead iPhone anyway), and it behaved markedly better, but still won't boot.

I have a BB Curve and am waiting on a battery for it, same thing, puffy battery, won't boot even when charging.
