It was released yesterday and somehow I missed this.

Download the app, hit the make it rain button and it reboots and it's jailbroken again. It's got to be the most painless jailbreak that's been done yet - I remember the early days when you had to SSH into the phone over WiFi and run a bunch of Unix commands.
On my 3GS, I personally find 3.1.2 to be much more stable than 3.0 (or 3.0.1) - especially with regards to 3G service staying up all the time - s o I'm glad to see a jailbreak so I can have OpenSSH and my beloved SBSettings back.
If you are planning, or thinking about unlocking, or unlocked already, be careful upgrading to the 3.1.2 baseband. The only unlock is still for the 3.0 baseband, so you'll need to stick with the old baseband by making a custom .ipsw.
It works with all versions of the iPhone, and apparently all versions of the iPod Touch too - although there's some caveat about "tethering" with the iPod Touch gen3 (you need to keep it plugged to keep it jailbroken, maybe?)
