Iphone 1G: update to firmware 2.0?

just got the notice for an update to firmware 2.0 on my iPhone 1G. my 1.1.4 iphone is jailbroken and am wondering if i should restore it using itunes first.

and second, what does firmware 2.0 include over 1.1.4?
 
Just to be safe, I used to always restore before updating the firmware on my old jailbroken iPhone.
 
I upgraded my jailbroken phone to 2.0 by restoring 1.1.4 and then upgrading to 2.0. I had a lot of problems though, it wouldn't accept 1.1.4 or any other firmware before that for some reason. After about 15 tries it worked. But I'm running on 2.0 now and the AppStore is really great!
 
Do I have any chance of unlocking or jailbreaking (or both) my 1G iPhone? Its got the 2.0 software and has not been messed with as of yet? I havent googled yet, but is there some easy solution to unlock it?

I am going to get the 3G and want to sell the 1G unlocked.
 
The 2.0 firmware jailbreak/unlock has not been released yet, hold your horses.

what kind of problems did you have? and what did u do exactly to resolve them?

For some reason, it just wouldn't take the upgrade. After multiple attempts, it worked. Download the 1.1.4 firmware and manually install that, then upgrade to 2.0.
