IPCop and frequent bad blocks, dead drives

Noticing that IPCop frequently kills my drives on different machines for some reason. If I reboot a fresh installation even on a new drive, it seems to develope bad blocks and hangs on startup. I've already killed 3 drives this way. Anyone else experiencing this??

Fug it. Installed Monowall instead and no more dead drives. (boot from CDROM and load config data from floppy requiring no hard drives.) It works wonderfully although more confusing than IPCop to config.
