If you need to defrag your iPAQ storage card (including IBM microdrive), this may be what you need. Works like a champ for me altho YMMV....

There is absolutely no reason to defrag a memory card like a CF, SD, or MMC... there is no seek time! Plus you'll end up wearing out the memory card more quickly. The only thing I'd use this on is a Microdrive. Just FYI...

...because flash memory like that used in CF, SD SM and Memory Stick devices has a finite number of writes before they becomes unstable and thus unusable. Just ask and professional photographer using digital media how often they have to replace thier digital media. The number of write cycles varies by manufacturer but on average 100,00 to 500,00 write cycles is typical according to Lexar. That may sound like a lot, but if you are using flash for dynamic storage like a hard drive, you easily exceed these number in a short period of time.

true, they list a write cycle on the product.. unless you bought generic.. good luck
