iPaq windows media player question

Just wondering... I'm not a big iPaq guy, but I have one for work demo's. Been trying to use it as a mp3 player when I'm not at work.

It seems that some of my mp3's won't play on it. Are there additional codec's that are required or something? Perhaps it just doesn't like my taste in music!

Compaq 3635, PPC2002 update installed.

I have the same problem, and it's not necessarily with higher codecs only. It happens with both MP3 and WMA.

I did notice that if I rip a WMA (just a personal preference to use 96 kbps WMA) directly from my CDs, they all worked fine. I had some trouble with some of the downloaded files.
