IPAQ 3765 $399 @ my local (UT) Target.

May be good for pricematching/coupon deals or just buying it at Target(No Rebate if you purchase it at Target, but you won't have to wait either).

Lowest price I could find was ~$450 on the price search engines.

There is a $50 rebate on this model as well.

With a PM and $40 coupon you might be able to get it for 399 -40 -50 $309 AR.

Good luck!

BIG WARNING:

That $50 rebate from compaq specifically says not valid on purchases from TARGET!

Now off to see if I can get staples to PM and take a coupon...

This offer is limited to one rebate per qualifying purchase. Valid while supplies last for purchases made in the U.S., U.S. territories and on U.S. military bases only. The rebate is not available for Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC purchases made from Target stores or on refurbished Compaq iPAQ Pocket PCs purchased through Compaq Factory Outlet, or other resellers. New or refurbished Compaq iPAQ Pocket PCs purchased through online auctions are not valid for rebate. Promotion is void where prohibited or restricted by law

My Bad. DOH! RUT ROH! There are two pages to the Rebate Form and the Web page I reviewed had only the second page. Needed to read the fine print.

Get this! Target near me had one in stock. COMPUSA store right next door, would NOT price match Target. Has to be from a local retail competitor.

For $399, bought one anyway. Will go to COMPUSA and buy one, copy the receipt, well you know the rest of the story. Yes, the rebate form accepts a copy of the sale receipt.

I wouldn't try to send in a rebate with a receipt for an item I plan on returning.:disgust:

Forget the copying of receipts. Target had one in stock. PM with Best Buy down the road plus 10% of the difference. Final Best Buy price of $392.00. With a $50 rebate, My Final price of $342. Bay-Bee.

Hi there-
Anandtech virgin here...joined yesterday. I bought the 3765 at Target yesterday, too..$399 - 10% with new Target credit card... haven't opened the box yet... what do I need to do a price match at Best Buy (or..a PM @ BB to use the hip lingo)? Can I just show them the Target sale ad? My receipt?

The idea of copying a CompUSA receipt is problematic, in that the rebate requires an original UPC/serial code from the box. I would suspect that Compaq can determine the store of purchase from that code..no?

Any better deals, please post 'em!

Thanks for all the great tips...
