iPad2 w/ 3G vs iPad3

Since iOS6 won't support my first gen iPad it's time to make the switch to a new device. I am torn between spending $400 for a refurb 16GB iPad2 w/ 3G or $500 for a 16GB iPad3 (wifi only).

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts between the two?

I use my iPad for web surfing, youtube, reading the news (usually NYTimes app), and then a few magazine subscriptions (TopGear and Evo).

Thanks.

I would recomend that you get the iPad 3 with 32gb, the new apps take up much more space, although I realise that might put you over budget. I still think its worth it though.

I also recommend an iPad 3. I read a lot on mine and the resolution is a fantastic improvement. Also, I have not run into any trouble using a 16gb version. Just like on my 16gb iphone I hold around 6-8gb of free space at any given time.

Thanks.

I'm pretty well set on the 16GB. I've never gone over on my iPad or iPhone both of which are 16GB.

I am leaning strongly towards the iPad3. I can't see myself really using the 3G.

I run the Ipad2 with Verizon 3G. I'm 100% glad with my decision to be able to go mobile at anytime. I think 3g is a no brainer. Unless you have hotspot etc.

But you already have an iphone with data so it's a moot point.

That's fine. Doesn't really do me any good either way.

I opted for the iPad3. The retina display is worth the $100 over the iPad2.

The better GPU and full gig of RAM are well worth the $100. Retina is just a bonus.
