IPAD VPN to Win2003Server - Shared Secret Problem

Greetings,

I'm trying to connect an IPAD to a Windows 2003 VPN Server (RRAS). The IPAD built in VPN client is pretty straight forward except for the shared secret field; it's not an option you can disable or skip, you have to enter in a shared secret. The problem is that Windows 2003 VPN server was never setup with a shared secret, and I'm pretty sure that it doesn't support it. Is there any way I can make this work, am I overlooking something?

**edit
imagoon was right, didn't have to enter shared secret in pptp screen.

Thanks for the help 🙂

Old thread. Problem was solved in 2011.

On the IPAD PPTP VPN configuration screen a shared secret must be entered, it doesn't connect if I leave the field blank 🙁

Every picture of the iPad's vpn config screen on google images shows that on the proper PPTP VPN config screen does not have shared secret. Which would make sense since shared secret is an IKE (L2TP) type vpn.
