iPad Camera button on lock screen?

Probably the only feature of iOS 5 I cared about was getting access to the camera button from the lock screen. Is it just me or has this feature been omitted from the iPad?

? that's how the camera button on the lockscreen is evoked on the iphone. you didn't mention that you had tried that. i assumed you thought it was just going to be visible
