Using a customer's iPad, I noticed that sometimes if one holds their finger on the circle normally used to take a picture, it takes a burst of photos, but sometimes it does something else instead (I think it makes a square appear on the screen in that scenario). Can someone explain the ins and outs of that to me please?

Also, is there a way of disabling that burst mode option? The customer unintentionally took about 600 more photos over a few months :)

From what I can see, no, there is no way to disable Burst Mode.

Not sure what you mean by making the square appear on screen. Can you get a screenshot?

Square? Do you mean a focus point? Because if you touch the screen anywhere within the field of view, a square will show up and the camera will focus there.

Or if you are moving around a lot, it will refocus as necessary, using the centre focus point usually.

You can't disable burst mode, which is stupid (even though I really like burst mode).

That's probbably what's is going on (focus point). It's been a while since I last saw the customer and their iPad, so I can't really elaborate at this point. I'm seeing them next week so I'm have a quick play then and try to confirm that point.
