Do you guys do lots of browsing (20+ tabs) or trade any stocks or use your Ipad Air 2 as a mini pc. I won one a 64gb Ipad Air 2 at a our christmas raffle and I've never opened it just been sitting here for a month. Thinking about getting a bluetooth keyboard/case and mouse and using it trade stocks when I first wake up and chill for an hour before I go to work? Would this work better than using my 12.5 1080p Dell e7240 laptop 256gb ssd 16gb ram.

Recommended case/stand/keyboard combo that makes it fold like a laptop?

Thinking about this one, pretty sure my laptop is way better but the resolution on the ipad is better. I'd be using Firefox on the ipad air 2. I don't want to open it up use it for a day and not liking it as selling it unused would be easier

iPad Air 2 would not be very good for this purpose. While the 2 GB makes the iPad Air 2 way better than most other iOS devices for tabbed browsing, it's still going to frequently run into the tabbed browsing page reload issue from time to time, especially if you have 20 pages open.

IMO, iOS is just not properly designed for an ideal surfing experience. Or scratch that, it's brilliantly designed to support a limited surfing experience, which is what most people (including myself usually) need.

I wish there was a setting that would allow us end users to prioritize memory usage for Safari or other browsers on iOS that would minimize this page reload issue, but there isn't. Or else I wish there was just more memory in iOS devices without having to buy a ginormous iPad Pro.

My 2GB iPhone 6s Plus has completely resolved the tab reload issue I had with 1GB RAM iOS devices. I think the iPad would be perfect for what he wants.

I'm sure the standard Safari browser works 100% better than Firefox and Chrome on iPad Air 2. I stopped using Chrome because it wouldn't let me navigate back/forward with swipes and it didn't have options to free up as much screen real-estate as I can do with Safari. Also, Safari supports content (ad) blockers like Purify.

It wouldn't be perfect for what he wants. I have an iPad Air 2 and I use it nearly every day, with Safari as my primary browser. It's still a problem with heavy tabbed browsing. With just regular surfing like I usually do, it's not a big deal most of the time esp. since I usually don't have more than about 3-4 or maybe a half-dozen pages open at a time, but for stock trading with 20+ pages it would be pretty irritating.

He needs to use a laptop.
