Trying to update my ipad 2 but I do not have the original pc I had set up my ipad on. Everytime I plug my ipad into my new computer it wants to set it up as a new ipad. I read online and doing this option will delete all my apps and settings. Is there anyway around this? I just need an update!

Apple proprietary pos itunes, argh it pisses me off. Which is why I never use it unless for updates...
 
Authorize the new computer under iTunes. Transfer purchased apps from iPad to computer. Then backup settings. Perform upgrade and then sync back everything. But if you don't transfer purchases, you can still download all of them without repurchasing.
