They talked about it on the latest TWiT (49A - go to http://www.twit.tv to listen). Basically there is a fairly new PAC (political action committee) that is geared towards getting our old, tech-fearing congresspeople to listen to techies rather than the big studios.

IPac Statement of Principles
IPac is a nonpartisan group dedicated to preserving individual freedom through balanced information policy.
We believe that technological innovation and individual creativity are vital to the future of this country. We believe that a prosperous and democratic society depends on freedom for all individuals to pursue scientific invention and artistic expression. Unfortunately, new and proposed laws such as the DMCA and Braodcast Flag threaten to stifle these freedoms and restrict public participation in science, art, and political discourse.
Therefore, IPac will support elected representatives and candidates for public office who fight for these principles:
1.
Creators of ideas and inventions have the right to be compensated for their work, but not to limit political expression, veto technological innovation, or restrict education and scientific research.
2.
Information policy laws should be judged by their potential to foster new creativity, as required by the U.S. Constitution.
3.
Information policy laws should be clear and explicit, so anybody can create without fear of lawsuits.
