Everything was fine for many months until today. Just a simple restart and now the board hangs up on POST Code 26.

I have no clue what Code 26 means even from the manual.

I currently have the following hardware in my sig and like I said, everything worked for a very long time and all the sudden...poof. What can I do? I have tried CMOS reset a couple times but each time results in the same error. I have also tried each memoiry stick individually to no avail.

I did manage to get a POST by removing the battery to reset the CMOS but as soon as I try to get back into thr BIOS and change my settings it will hang up on code 26 again after I save and exit. It almost seems like the battery allows the system to lose the settings and it hangs because it doesn't know how it was set.

Any help is appreciated...ideas or suggestions.

check page 5-2 of the manual, it explains what that post code means. I did have trouble with my IP35 Pro also, was getting 01 error code on first boot, i finally resolved it but not because of post error code explanations, it can be quite difficult to understand what they mean. Sorry that i cant be more help to u.

The explanation meant nothing at all...I mean it was like written so that you can't get anything from it.

Anyway, I ended up replacing the CMOS battery, not the problem. Then I removed every hardware I had except the startup drive. Noted any halt codes on POST. Eventually plugging everything in one by one revealed my video card to be bad. So I went out and got an HD4870 and all is well. Was going to pickup one soon anyway, but wasn't planning on it being so soon.
