I want to set my E4500 to default 200MHz x11 multiplier before I attempt to overclock and stuff, because I know very little about these things right now, but according to CPU-Z it's at
Core Speed: 1200.0 MHz
Multiplier: x 6.0
Bus Speed: 200.0 MHz
Rated FSB: 800.0 MHz

The core speed - isn't that the one that's supposed to be 200, or is it the Bus Speed that I'm setting up in BIOS?

I haven't updated the BIOS because Abit's BIOS update download servers seem to be down ATM. Also, I don't have a floppy drive. I need one to install an update, right? Not sure what version I have. I just installed drivers that came on the disk that came with the mobo, but I guess that doesn't have anything to do with the BIOS.

I know there are many people using this board. Anybody know how to fix the problem? Maybe it isn't even a "problem" - maybe it's just my nubbishness.

Yes it's not a problem. This should've gone to the CPU section where there is a thread of this matter. It's the C1E and EIST in action which drops your multiplier from 11x to 6x when processing power is not needed. When you load up your CPU with something like Orthos and observe CPU-Z at the same time, you'll see the effect.
